Colorization
This tutorial will teach you how to turn a black and white photo into a colored image...using your graphic program. I will be using Corel Paint Shop Program 10. If you would like, you may follow this tutorial using the same image as I am.This tutorial is a bit long, but just push through it and you will end up with a fantastic colorization. Please credit me if this tutorial was used!
Let's Start (PART 1)
• Take your colorization and pick out a skin tone color you would like to use.
• Create a new raster layer and fill it in with your color swatch, setting the settings to COLOR OR SOFT LIGHT - you can choose which you prefer..
My Result So Far:
The EYES
• Take your selection tool and set the settings like mine below:
• Create a New Raster Layer.
• Zoom in 600%. Carefully outline the center of the eyes with the Selection Tool, making sure you have outlined every bit like I have done below...
• Fill them with any eye color you wish and set the settings to COLOR.
The LIPS
• Take your selection tool like you have done above with the eyes, but outline the lips instead.• Fill them with any color you wish the lips to be.
•Set the settings to SOFT LIGHT 90%.
The TEETH
• This one is easy...just create a new raster layer, outline the teeth (just like you've done with the lips and eyes) and fill it in with #FFFFFF (white). Set the settings to COLOR 100%.Extra Detail
For the nails:Doing the same thing you've done with the lips, eyes, and teeth (outlining w/selection tool, filling in with a color, setting the settings to COLOR); outline the nails and do the above. You may choose any color you want. I'll be using a blue/purple. Set the opacity to 75%.
