01. To start you need to create an image sized 10x10 pixels. (You can change it to a larger or smaller image, but I think 10x10 is the perfect size.)
02. Create a gradient with a light color on one end and white on the other.
03. Zoom onto your image. Find the defalt square brush and size it to 1px. Outline your emoticon with a dark grey. Now take a lighter gray and put a dot in each corner. Here is an example of mine (zoomed in on):
04. Now it is time for the face. Take the same pixel brush you used for the border and draw in the expression. This is where you can get creative.
05. Once you are done, save it as .gif
