Icon Saturation
Here is what you will be making:

Take your icon and crop it to whatever size you want. (100x100 for anything - 94x94 for msn)
Sharpen your image once, but only if you think it needs sharpening.
#1. Create a new raster layer and fill it with #cce9fa - SOFT LIGHT 100%.
#2. New raster layer - soft light 36% with the color #ffc7e5.
#3. Create a new raster layer and fill it with #f4ebb8.
Set the settings to Saturation 28%.
#4. Go, Layers - New Adjustment Layer - Hue/Saturation/Lightness.
Set the Saturation level to 20.
#5. Go, Layers - New Adjustment Layer - Curves.
Match the settings to mine below:
Now, If you have followed all of the steps correctly; your icon should look something like this:
I am going to take this tutorial a step farther, so you may choose whether to continue or not.
#6. Take the image below and copy it. Now go EDIT - PASTE AS NEW LAYER onto your icon.
Set the settings to SCREEN 100%.
#7. Add some fun text and you're done =)
