Smooth Color

Once you have chosen your image, size it to either 94x94 (for msn) or 100x100 (for anything else). Sharpen your image once if you feel you need to.



01. Duplicate your base and set the top layer to screen 45%.
Now go Layers - Merge - Merge All (flatten).



02. Create a New Raster Layer and fill it with the color, #f4ebb8. Set it to Multipy 100%.



03. Create a New Raster Layer and fill it with a dark blue, #0a0b3c. Set it to Screen 100%.



Your icon should now look like this:


04. Duplicate your base and drag it to the top.
Press SHIFT + L and a colorize pallet should pop up. Set the Hue to 0. Set the Saturation to 0 and press OK.
Take the duplicated layer at the top and set the settings to Soft Light 100%


05. Merge all layers together.
You're finished! Final product:
